“Happy Wife,Happy Life”…

Painting wood siding via Glass Slipper Restorations

Well, just wanted to brag a little lot about my Absolutely Awesome, Amazing, Handsome husband, Gary. He is the true bones (if you will) of this home, he structurally maintains our home, without him my dream of completing the restorations to this old house would not become a reality.

He has a never-ending ” honey-do” list, which I know there are many, many men with these list, I think his, must be the largest in the world!

While I was working on the Front Porch Transformation, he was working on his least favorite project, (painting the exterior of our home).

Painting would not be so bad if there weren’t so much prep work, prep work is not my favorite either…

but every good painter knows you cannot have a good paint job without it.

He chose to work on the section of the house which needed the most prep (every section after that will be easier..right?)

He began scraping the loose, cracking, peeling paint, then he filled holes with wood filler,

 sanded, then prime,

caulk, and then finally paint two coats!

ahh, your at the finish line now baby, smile, its almost over

and here is his Masterpiece!
